
Rule & Regulations
The students must maintain strict discipline inside and outside
the class, inside and outside of the campus, short residential training programme,
or any sort of training programme so organised at any place, and during off
campus industrial training.
The institute, tea estate management, or the management of any office or any
educational institution wherever a student may be sent for training, exposure
or learning will not be liable for any damages/charges on account of injuries,
illness, accident fatal or otherwise, any sort of monetary loss which may be
sustained by the student any time during his/her stay at the institute or during
residential training programme anywhere, or during industrial training programme
at tea estate so organized by the institute All expenses that may be incurred
in treatment of such injunes /illness will be borne by the parent/guardian
of the student or by the student himself/herself. The tea estate management
or Dipras Institute Of Professional Studies will not be liable for any of the
above mentioned cases.
IDENTITY CARD :
1. Each student is issued
an identity card.
2. An identity card is valid only at the institute's premises where it is issued,
and for that particular academic session only in which admission is taken.
3. The student should produce the identity card on demand by personnel authorized
by DIPRAS. Normally entry to DIPRAS premises or receipt of material will require
production of the identity card.
4. In case of loss of identity card, a duplicate identity card can be issued
only on a written request subject to the approval of the Principal & Secretary
and on payment of Rs500. Such duplicate card can be issued once only for genuine
loss, subject to the satisfaction of the Principal & Secretary.
5. The student should hand over his/her identity card on completion of the
course to the institute.
DRESSES
Each student should be present in the class in their proper uniform.
The students should maintain a strict personal hygiene and be well groomed.
Lack of which may lead to prohibition from attending the class with no excuses
whatsoever,
RULES AND REGULATIONS
All the students of this institute should follow the rules and regulations
laid down by the institute. The institute reserves the right to take any disciplinary
action against a student found violating these rules. The Institute management
reserves the right to debar any student from the institute for non adherence
of any rules and regulation or any administrative order issued and intimated
through notices or for any sort of disorderly conduct or behaviour which is
unbecoming of a student and is detrimental to the reputation of the institute
in anyway whatsoever. The management of the institute is the sole and final
authority to judge and decide in such cases and no external interference or
influence will be tolerated or entertained. If any student is debarred from
pursuing the tea management course or discontinues for any reason whatsoever
at anytime during the session the institute will not refund any fees or any
money received from the candidate whatsoever under any circumstances and will
not be liable in anyway for any sort of loss, suffering, hardship the student
or his/her family member or anybody may undergo.
ATTENDANCE
80% attendance in theory and practical classes and 90% attendance during
the garden visits and 100% attendance during visit to research centres
are mandatory
.
DRESS/PROTECTIVE CLOTHING'S & OTHER MATERIALS
It is imperative for all students to have their own raincoats, rain shoes
(eg. Rubber shoes or gum boot), umbrella, shorts and caps. Each student
should possess
a measuring tape (preferably of steel) and magnifying glass (lens), at
the time of tea garden visits.
ABSENCE
Internal assessment may be taken without any prior intimation to
the students. Absence during internal assessment, final examination, viva-vocie
shall not be condoned and supplementary examination will not be arranged
for any student under any circumstances.
CONDUCT
Any student found lacking in discipline during the tenure of this course or
lacking in any thing which is In opinion of the institute's management amounting
to indiscipline, demeanour, unbecoming of student, prejudicial to the goodwill
of the 'institute in any manner whatsoever, adopting unfair means during the
examinations is liable to be expelled from pursuing the course. The decision
of the institute's management is final and binding on the students. No refund
of course fees or interference of any third party/ parties will be entertained
in this regard.
